Easter Eggstravaganza

Last Thursday Autumn's school had there Easter Eggstravaganza. They had about 6 different center for the kids to go to and do crafts, games, stories, and snack. They all had so much fun. Madison thought it was great too.

Cross craft

Today we made a cross painting. First I used masking tape to make the cross on the paper and then I let Autumn use water colors and paint. When she was done we peeled off the tape and there was beautiful cross.

Easter is almost here so we took time to talk about the cross, what it means and how much God loves us.
Look back for more Easter crafts over the next 2 weeks.

Dot painting activity

This morning we used some free online printables to do dot painting. The girls had fun. Masidon mostly like to just dot wherever or try to put it on her lips but for Autumn this was a great activity. She dotted flowers, made a face.
 Fun and easy.
I actually printed some of these for a playdough busy book I am making but had a few left over so I modified it so we could do something new and fun today.

What we've been up to this week

Saturday we went down to visit Tyler and Piper

Sunday it snowed a little so we went out to throw a few snowballs
Today Madison had her 18 month appt. She is 26.5 lbs and 33 in tall. She is in the 80% for height and weight. She is developing right on track. Monday we decided it was time to get rid of her paci. She had a rough first nap but has been doing really well since. She hasn't even asked for it today except at nap. I am so proud of her. She is getting so big.
The girls were playing so sweet this afternoon. What good mommy's they will be.

Feeding and caring for their babies.
Have a blessed week.
God is so good!

Toddler hands on activity

I made a discovery box today. I filled this tub with beans (next time i'll get 2 or 3 bags) and since it's march I filled it with small green objects that I could find around the house. I threw in a few other colors too. When Autumn wakes up I'll have her find and pull out everything green and we will count how many green objects there were. Then for Madison I will let her dig thru and just discover and find. The is great for young children. Also when you are done you can save the beans to do it again or use them to glue on paper and do other crafts.

Green picture hunt

This morning we went on a green hunt. I let Autumn take pictures of the things she found. Her trampoline, Madi's toy
 Top of Madi's cup
 Plates
 bowl
 Her shopping cart
 Her pillow
 the drum
 Madison elephant
 laundry bag
 candle
 lotion.
This was a fun activity for Autumn. not only did she get to hunt for green objects she got to learn to use the camera a little (which she loved). After we finished she said, "lets find things that are pink now". Yes we will be doing this again, but I am going to do shapes next
