Fishing fun

Yesterday we rode bikes up the street to this water preserve. Every year they put in fish and this week it was free fishing. This was Autumn's first time and she was so excited. Although we did not catch a fish we still had tons of fun

Tom's dad came with us too

What to do with all that candy

The girls got tons of candy for Easter. There is no way we will be eating all of this, so here is the first post of ideas to do with all that candy.
Today I picked out some jelly beans and we made a jelly bean tree (I had this tree print out left over from something) After she glued them on we counted them.
This is great fine motor and also includes a little bit of math
I will post another idea this week so stay tuned

More Easter fun

Saturday we went to the park down the street. They had all sorts of Easter fun and lots of vendors selling stuff
We met Autumn's friend there. They had so much fun together. They had a huge egg hunt. Autumn came home with like 25 eggs

Girls just want to have fun

I am joining up with Kelly's Korner today. http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ She is talking about families with all girls. I am not sure our family is done yet but as of now we have 2 girls. I really have enjoyed having girls more than I thought. I always pictured my self with boys but God had other plans. I think having girls has taught me a lot.
I was not girly at all as a young girl so is has definitely brought out my girly side. We paint nails, love dresses, hair flowers the works. I really love my girls and look forward to watching them grow.
Most importantly I look forward to watching their relationship with God grow as they get older. They are both so sweet and have so much that I can see that God can use.

Spring pictures 2012

I tried my best today to get some cute spring pictures of the girls. Autumn is 3.5 and Madison is 18 months old.
Madi was so distracted and was looking everywhere but the camera.

I also made the girls' outfits for Easter this year. It was so fun.

In this pic they are watching the garbage truck go by.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter

we are sheep

Today we made sheep. Super easy activity. All you need is construction paper, cotton balls and marker or wiggle eyes.
Trace child's hand on construction paper, cut out. Have them glue on cotton balls and then add an eye with a marker or glue on a wiggle eye.
